Everything you need to know about preparing for your stairlift installation
Q: How long does stairlift installation take?
A: Most stairlifts can be installed in just 2–4 hours, depending on the model and the complexity of your staircase.
Q: Will the stairlift be attached to the wall or stairs?
A: Stairlifts are installed directly onto the stairs, not the wall. This minimizes disruption and avoids damage to your home’s structure.
Q: Will I need to make modifications to my home?
A: No major renovations are necessary. Our stairlifts are custom-fitted to your staircase, and any adjustments are minimal.
Q: Is the installation process noisy or messy?
A: Not at all. Our technicians use clean, efficient methods to ensure a smooth and quiet installation with no mess left behind.
Q: Can a stairlift be installed on carpeted stairs?
A: Yes. Stairlifts can be safely installed on carpet, hardwood, tile, or laminate stairs without damaging your flooring.
Q: Will I need to be home during the installation?
A: We recommend that someone be home during the installation to walk through usage instructions and ask any questions.
Q: Can stairlifts be removed later?
A: Yes. Stairlifts are fully removable. After removal, your stairs will remain in excellent condition with only small, patchable holes from the rail brackets.
Q: How do I prepare for the installation?
A: Simply clear the stairway and nearby areas of any obstructions. Our team will take care of the rest.
Q: Is there an inspection or test before the installer leaves?
A: Yes. Our technician will test the stairlift, walk you through safe operation, and answer any questions before leaving.
